Who we are
Lighthouse Children‘s Home is a non–profit organisation based in Rustenburg. We offer a place of safety to vulnerable children. Lighthouse Children‘s Home is currently taking care of 25 children between the ages of 1 month and 12 years. Since January 2020 we were taken under new management. We as management aim to be transparent and we want to become an integrated part of the community. The children‘s home is under the careful management of Ms. E. Doubell as Chairperson, Ms. G. Coelho as Financial Director and Ms. A. Nortje as Director of Communication.
Our Mission
Our mission statement is derived from our name: to be a
beacon of hope in the darkness. We want to give hope,
a future, and create a healthy, safe environment for our

children to flourish in. Our vision is to involve the Rustenburg community in empowering and educating the children as
well as the raise awareness on healthy stable family units.
Through empowerment, we want to raise responsible
individuals that will effect change and give back to the
